Meet Christiano Ronaldo new agent, Ricardo Regufe

Christiano Ronaldo has reportedly severe relationship with his long time football agent, Jorge Mendes.

Mendes, who is reputed for acting as an agent for some notable players has had a relationship with Ronaldo for more than 20 years.

The Portuguese was the man guiding Ronaldo’s career; taking him from Sporting Lisbon to Manchester United, then to Real Madrid, then Juventus and back to United again.

But to the surprise of many, Ronaldo’s mega money move to Al Nassr FC was engineered by another agent, Ricardo Regufe.

According to The Athletic, Regufe is a former Nike employee who got to know Ronaldo through his work with the Portuguese national team.

Regufe, who’s based in Porto, was tasked with streamlining Ronaldo’s commercial career over the past two decades, and was eventually hired by Ronaldo as personal manager in 2018.

Regufe, who joined Nike in 2000 at the age of 21, was responsible for managing Portugal’s photoshoots with the sports manufacturer.

Now at the centre of things – Regufe is expected to pocket a whopping a £26m commission from Ronaldo’s deal at the Al Nassr FC.
