Masha Allah Arabic, Islamic Centre marks 25th anniversary, sets for fundraising event
The Daud Islamic Foundation, in collaboration with the Masha Allah Arabic and Islamic Training Centre, Ilorin, has organized a special event to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Masha Allah Arabic and Islamic Training Centre. The celebration took place on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at the centre’s mosque in Ilorin.
Founded on August 8, 2000 by Sheikh Daud Abdulmajeed Alfa nla with just 10 pioneer students under the leadership of its first director, Ustadh Abdulmumeen Saadallah, the centre has grown significantly over the past two and a half decades.

The first set of students completed the recitation of the Holy Qur’an in 2002, while the first graduation ceremony was held in 2005 with five students. The institution later produced its first senior (Sha’adat Islamiyah) graduating class in 2010.
The highlight of the silver jubilee celebration was a lecture delivered by Sheikh Daud Alfanla Eleha, who served as the guest speaker. In his address, Sheikh Eleha emphasized the virtues of resilience, patience, and courage in pursuing the cause of Islam.
He also reflected on his personal experiences, sharing how perseverance helped him overcome several life challenges, including a ghastly accident he survived in 2003.
Meanwhile, the centre announced plans to hold a fundraising programme on Sunday, October 12, 2025, as part of activities marking the anniversary, aimed at furthering the development of the institution and its educational mission.
The event drew students, scholars, and members of the Ilorin Muslim community, all of whom commended the centre’s contributions to Arabic and Islamic education over the past 25 years.
