Marrying one wife is like standing on one leg, it’s very difficult, Ned Nwoko says amid allegations of domestic violence against Regina Daniels

Ned Nwoko, the senator representing Delta north, has justified his position for going into polygamous marriage.

The Delta lawmaker, who is having some difficult moment with his wife, actress Regina Daniels over alleged domestic violence, stated this while featuring on Channels TV show hosted by Seun Okinbaloye.

Nwoko’s comments come amid recent public scrutiny following a viral video of Regina accusing him of domestic violence. In his response to the controversy, Nwoko had alleged that the actress was struggling with drug and alcohol abuse.

According to him, the “difficulty of standing on a single leg” influenced his decision to have more than one wife.

Nwoko also expressed a “sense of pity for monogamous men” while declaring he has no regrets about his choices.

The senator, who is married to Laila Charani, actress Regina Daniels, Phyllis Thompson, and Chantelle Nwoko, further advocated for personal liberty in marriage.

“(I have done so many impossible things). Tell me what it is. The example I gave (about marrying four wives) is this: just imagine telling you to stand on one leg, you know how difficult it is. But to stand on two, three, or four is much more balanced. That is just the example I gave,” he said.

“I feel sorry for those who have one wife. Because it is difficult to stand on one leg. (I do not have any regret) I will do the same thing again. This is the way it is. (Marrying beautiful women and young ones). That is the way it should be. You should marry who you want to marry.

“I am not a violent person. I respect my wives. I love them. I love my kids. No, not at all.”
