Lagos Police to take disciplinary action against weed-smoking officer

CP Abiodun Alabi, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, has initiated immediate, appropriate disciplinary measures against a Police officer pictured smoking weed in the Ijora area of the state.

The Spokesperson of the Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin on Tuesday, via a statement, identified the officer as an Assistant Superintendent of Police ASP, Babatunde Adebayo, serving with the Shogunle Division of the Command.

The commissioner of police ordered that the disciplinary action to be taken against the ASP should be proportionate to his rank.

The Commissioner however sounded an aggressive warning to officers and men of the Command to discard any unguided, unprofessional, and unethical conduct saying, “any officer found guilty of these acts will be severely sanctioned.“
