Lagos/Ibadan expressway kidnap: UI professor, Agbaje regains freedom
The University of Ibadan revealed that Professor Adigun Agbaje, a former Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC, Academics) of the institution, has been set free.
Agbaje, is a Political science professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences is one of the travellers who were kidnapped on Friday.
They were kidnapped along the Lagos/ Ibadan expressway.
The Informant247 gathered on Monday that Agbaje regained his freedom, Sunday night.
Sources within the community of the university revealed than the university don has been hospitalized for medical attention.
It was not certain if ransom was paid for the freedom of the professor.
In a short note made available to newsmen, a source said, “Prof Agbaje has just been released about few hours ago.
“He is okay and undergoing medical checkup.”
