KWASU VC appoints Dr. Salawu as Acting Director of Politics,Governance centre

The Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU), Professor Shaykh-Luqman Alade Jimoh, has approved the appointment of Dr. Ibrahim Ogirima Salawu as the Acting Director of the Centre for Politics and Corporate Governance.

According to the appointment letter dated November 18, 2025, and signed by the Registrar, Dr. Salawu will serve in the position for a one-year term.

Dr. Salawu, an Associate Professor in the Department of Politics and Governance, is a specialist in political institutions, governance, and public policy. He has been the Sub-Dean of the School of Postgraduate Studies since March 2024.

He earned his Ph.D. from the International Islamic University, Malaysia, in 2016, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration of Nigeria. He also holds memberships in the American, Canadian, and Nigerian Political Science Associations.

Dr. Salawu is respected voice in Public discourse and a reputable Public affairs analyst
