Kwara warns residents against vandalising public properties

The Kwara State Government has warned the state’s residents against vandalising public properties.

The Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. According to the Commissioner,  six people suspected to be involved in the act were arrested by the Nigeria Civil Defence Corps, Kwara State Command, Ilorin, adding that three of the suspects were apprehended at Mandate Market, while the other three were arrested at Adabiyyah Asalap, all in Ilorin.

He emphasised that the security agents are investigating the issue, after which the law will be allowed to take its course if found culpable, counselling residents to be vigilant and report any suspected move around the public property.

The Commissioner noted that the Ministry dissociates itself from the vandalisation of the reservoir at Mandate Market and the stealing of some equipment at Adabiyyah Asalap, Ilorin.

Hon. Lade urged the Marketers at Mandate Market, Ilorin, to remain calm and go about their businesses as the state security agents are on top of the matter.
