Kwara United Coach heads to US for urgent medical treatment
Kwara United coach Abdullahi Biffo has been granted some days off his duty to allow him travel to America for urgent medical treatment.
This was contained in a statement released by the media department of the Club on Thursday.
The statement noted that the need for the gaffer, who was earlier before the start of the current season in US to have an eye surgery was due to the present status of his health
“For some days now, Abdullahi Biffo has been having some health issues which prompted him to make arrangement for him to go back to the US hospital where he was treated last year.
“Kwara United Chairman Kumbi Titiloye wished Abdullahi Biffo quick recovery and also distanced the club from speculation of hiring a replacement”.
The club Chairman also refuted the rumour that the club will hire a new Technical Adviser.
“We are not hiring another coach because Biffo will soon return after his treatment in US and his assistants will be in charge in subsequent games,” Kumbi Titiloye explained to Kwara United Media.
While the Coach would be in America, it added that Coach Lukman Ijaiya and Mukaila Iyala are expected to be in charge of Kwara United NPFL match-day 30 encounter against Akwa United on Saturday in Ilorin.
Lukman Ijaiya and Iyala have for years been working as youth coaches at Kwara United before their recent elevation by the management.
