Kwara south youth stakeholders kick, describe allegations against Dankaka unfounded, blackmail
Kwara south youth stakeholders forum has described allegations leveled against the Chairperson of the Federal Character Commission, FCC, Dr. Muheeba Dankaka as total blackmail and witch-hunting.
The body in a statement signed by its Chairman, Prince Madandola Olalekan Bashir said the FCC Chairperson is being blackmailed because of her stand against corruption.
While describing the Dankaka as a woman of proven character and integrity, the body called on the National Assembly to ensure that the real culprits must be brought to book.
The body however passed a vote of confidence on the Offa-born business mogul and urged her to continue in her quest to reposition the agency.
The statement reads in full:
“We in the Kwara South Youth Stakeholders Forum wish to condemn in totality the attempt blackmail and witch-hunt against our own Dr Muheeba Dankaka as been reported in major news platform in recent days.
We want state categorically that the accusations and counter accusations at the hearing of the House of Representatives adhoc committee investigating job racketeering at federal establishments is an issue of corruption fighting back.
We are very bold to state our confidence in the person and character of Dr Dankaka a seasoned administrator who had proved her worthy Nigerian and a good ambassador of kwara South Senatorial District.
Going by the allegations against her by some of the commissioners it is pertinent to note that most of them raising accusations are bittered because of her stand against the old order of job slots for sale putting an end to job racketeering since her emergence as the Chairperson of the Commission.
We are very much aware of the way and manner the Federal Character Commission had changed operation of the commission to reflect the true position by which the establishment was set up based on due diligent and efficiency as introduced to the Commission by Dr Muheeba Dankaka.
It is very unfortunate and disheartening to find out that some persons within and outside are now trying pull down this woman of proven character and integrity in their quest to continue the inordinate activities they wished to be using the Commission for.
We as a responsible and responsive Youth Stakeholders Forum of the Kwara South Senatorial District hereby pass a vote of confidence on the FCC Chairperson and cautioned those trying to pull her down to desist from such witch hunt and unfounded blackmail.
We called on the National Assembly to carry out their investigation thoroughly with the fear of God and ensure that the real culprits are identified and sanctioned accordingly.
We urge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to see Dr Muheeba Dankaka as a national asset that would do more for the nation given a higher responsibility as demonstrated by her sterling performance as the Chairperson of the Federal Character Commission in the last four years
