Kwara records 15 cases of armed robbery in last 5 months – Official
Police in Kwara State has disclosed that it recorded fifteen cases of armed robbery between May and October.
Speaking during a stakeholders’ meeting on Thursday in Ilorin, the Police Commissioner, Kayode Egbetokun, said his command also arrested 27 suspects and recovered 15 AK-47 rifles in connection with the robberies.
He added that the state had not witnessed cases of police extra-judicial killing, brutality and harassment, adding that cases of police extortion had reduced drastically.
The police chief, who appealed to the stakeholders to talk with their members on the need to maintain existing peace and harmony in the state, said he was proud of peaceful conduct exhibited so far by the youth in the state during #EndSARS protest.
