Kwara procures 30 transformers to improve power supply, boost economy
The Kwara State Government has procured 30 new transformers as part of efforts to enhance electricity supply, stimulate economic growth, and improve social amenities across the state.
The Commissioner for Energy, Engr. Kola AbdulAzeez AbdulGaniy, disclosed this on Monday while receiving the second batch of transformers at the ministry’s premises in Ilorin.
He explained that the first batch of 16 transformers was delivered on August 15, 2025, while the remaining 14 units arrived in the early hours of today.
According to the commissioner, access to reliable electricity is key to improving security, supporting businesses, and enhancing the overall well-being of residents.
“Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq remains committed to the welfare and security of Kwarans. The provision of these transformers is another step towards ensuring sustainable development across communities in the state,” AbdulGaniy said.
