Kwara Poly NAKSS lauds rector’s achievements, pledges continued support
The National Association of Kwara State Students (NAKSS), Kwara State Polytechnic Chapter, has commended the Rector of the institution, Engr. Dr. Abdul Jimoh Mohammed, for what it described as landmark achievements recorded since his assumption of office.
The commendation was given by the President of the association, Ahmed Abdulkabir Ishowo, who spoke on behalf of NAKSS while reviewing the developmental strides of the Polytechnic under the current administration.
Ishowo applauded the Rector for facilitating a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Kwara State Polytechnic and the University of Ilorin, a move aimed at introducing degree programmes within the Polytechnic.
The NAKSS President further highlighted other notable projects executed under the Rector’s leadership, including the Commercial Farm Produce Initiative, which he described as a significant contribution to the Kwara State Government’s food security agenda.
He also commended the Patient-Centric Diagnostic Centre, describing it as one of the most outstanding facilities within the institution, providing quality healthcare services to staff, students, and residents of Kwara State.
In addition, Ishowo praised the establishment of the Kwara State Polytechnic Microfinance Bank, noting that the initiative would enhance financial inclusion for students and staff, while also serving the wider public.
The association also expressed appreciation to the Kwara State Government for its continuous support to the management of the Polytechnic, which it said has enabled the successful execution of key projects.
They pledged continued support to the institution’s management, assuring cooperation to ensure sustained progress.
