Kwara Police rescue kidnap victim

The Kwara State Police Command has secured the freedom of a man who was recently kidnapped in the state.

The spokesperson of the police Command, SP Ajayi Okasanmi has confirmed the new development, in a statement.

The spokesperson revealed the identity of the victim as Alhaji Tunde Buhari, the chairman of the Oluwalose community in Okolowo, Ilorin.

Okasanmi said the rescue mission was successful as a result of efforts of police officers of the command who worked in collaboration with other security stakeholders.

“This information becomes necessary to calm the nerves of the families and friends of the victims and to also assure that the police in the command have the capacity to get the remaining victim rescued unharmed and that the process is in top gear.” he said

Okasanmi, added that the rescued victim has been reunited with his family and to ensure that he has access to medical treatment.

The Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Paul Odama, told residents of the state to be conscious of their security and safety at all time.
