Kwara govt redeploys state house workers
The Kwara state government yesterday ordered the redeployment of the state house workers, THE INFORMANT247 reports.
The civil servants, expected to resume yesterday after the New Year break, were ordered back by stern looking security officials stationed at the gate and asked to resume back to the Head of Service office for redeployment back to their various ministries.
Sources who spoke with our correspondent stated that the state house workers were not given any prior notice or reason for the sudden decision.
When contacted, the governor’s spokesperson, Rafiu Ajakaye said, “What is ongoing is a routine redeployment of civil servants across MDAs. It is a standard practice for civil servants to be moved round the Service to garner experience and be well-grounded, especially when they have spent some years in a particular place and authorities feel a need to let them have a feel of the workings of other environment within the Service.
“So it is about making the Civil Service stronger and better, given the administration’s commitment to human capital development and professionalism in the public sector.”
