Kwara govt donates new vehicles to student associations

The National Association of Kwara State Students (NAKSS) National Headquarters and National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS) Kwara State Axis on Saturday received brand new bus each from the Kwara State Government.

The hand over of the buses which took place at the Kwara State Governors House had in attendance the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Commissioner for Tertiary Education and the Special Assistant on Students Matter to the Kwara State Governor Comrade AbdulSalam Wasiu Onidugbe among other dignitaries.

The buses, according to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, have been facilitated “to assist Students Union Bodies in the running of their activities”.

Speaking to The Informant247, the Special Assistant on Students Matter to the Kwara State Governor, Hon AbdulSalam Wasiu Onidugbe, urged the students to take good care of the buses and continue promoting Scientific and Harmonious Students Unionism that they are known for.

He further said, “Today marks a significant milestone in Kwara State’s students’ unionism journey. The Governor’s administration has fulfilled another key demand of the students, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to prioritizing students’ welfare since taking office in 2019. This dedication is evident in initiatives like the recent bursary and scholarship awards for Kwara State indigenes in tertiary institutions.”

“As the students celebrate this victory, it’s essential to recognize the importance of responsible stewardship of the resources provided.”
