Kwara govt announces replacement of rusted pipes along varsity road
Kwara State Government, through the Ministry of Water Resources on Saturday, announced that all has been set to replace some rusted pipes that crisscross the University of Ilorin Road around the Tunde Idiagbon Bridge.
The Ministry, in a statement released, said the pipes are found to be leaking water to the surface of the road, partially affecting a small portion of the new road.
The statement reads, “Our engineers are working with the Ministry of Works and Transport to address the issue. In the interim, water supply will be disconnected in the axis. We regret the inconveniences to our customers.”
“The spots affected are not anywhere close to the Flyover.”
Areas affected by the water disconnection are the University of Ilorin permanent site, Sanrab area, part of Fate/Tanke
Tanke LGEA community;
Abule nla; F Division; and Oke Onigbin area.
