Kwara gov reaffirms commitment to civil servants’ welfare
The Kwara Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has reiterated his administration’s commitment to improving the well-being of civil servants and retirees through prompt payment of salaries, pensions and gratuities.
The governor gave this assurance at the send-forth ceremony in honour of the retired Head of Service (HOS) and Permanent Secretaries held at the Banquet Hall opposite the Government House in Ilorin, Kwara State.
Represented by the Chief of Staff, Alhaji Abdulkadri Mahe, the governor described civil servants as the cornerstone of every successful government while also commending the outgoing HOS, Mrs Susan Dupe Oluwole, for her immense contribution to the State civil service.
According to a statement issued by Akanbi Solomon, the Ministry’s press secretary, the Chief of Staff commended the veterans for jobs well done, urging them to remain productive and healthy after retirement.
He congratulated the outgoing HOS, Mrs Susan Dupe Oluwole, and other retired Permanent Secretaries for their milestones of meritorious service, commending them for the smooth running of government activities and implementing government policies.

Earlier in his address, the Acting Head of Service in the State, Mallam Muhammad Ibrahim, who commended the State Governor for his leadership style and vision for the State, thanked the outgoing HOS and Permanent Secretaries for their immense contributions to the State civil service.
In her address, the outgoing HOS, Mrs Susan Dupe Oluwole, who Elder David Adeshina represented, called on those still in active service to remain focused and dedicated to their duties at all times.
Earlier in his address, the Chairman of the Association of Retired Permanent Secretaries in the State, Prince Ayo Fagbemi, thanked the State Governor for keeping retirees fit through regular payments of pensions and prompt approval of their gratuities.
Speaking on behalf of the other retired Permanent Secretaries in the State, the Former Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Alhaji Gesinde Amosa Adedeji, described the send-forth ceremony as unique and applauded the State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for his good work.
Dignitaries at the send-forth included the State Deputy Governor Elder Kayode Alabi, represented by the State Commissioner for Communications, Mrs Bolanle Olukoju, Commissioner for Health, Doctor Aminat Ahmed, among others.
