Kwara gov AbdulRazaq approves 2024 cash backing for 3,594 TESCOM staff
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved the 2024 cash backing for Three Thousand Five Hundred and Ninety-Four Teaching and Non-Teaching staff of the State’s Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), effective immediately.
Mallam Bello Tauheed Abubakar, the Executive Chairman of TESCOM, made this known today, Monday, September 8, 2025, while addressing the commission’s management team.
According to him, “This approval is another testament to Governor AbdulRazaq’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of teachers in our state.”
Bello recalled that upon his assumption of office in 2019, the Governor had initiated cash backing for promotions dating back to 2015, and that this support has continued through the 2023 promotions.
He assured commission staff that the current administration will ensure timely cash backing for all future promotions, stating, “We will do our best to ensure that all promotions are cash backed as at when due.”
While expressing appreciation for the Governor’s investment in educators’ welfare, Bello pledged, “We will justify our pay with hard work and remain dedicated to serving our community.”
