Kwara Garment Factory achieves milestones in industrialization drive under Governor AbdulRazaq – MD

The Kwara Garment Factory, under the leadership of Managing Director Hajia Bukola Adedeji, has marked an impressive growth period from January to April 2025, credited largely to the strategic vision of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

Hajia Adedeji, while making this known on Tuesday at the Inter-Ministerial Press Briefing hosted by the Ministry of Communications, highlighted the Factory’s achievements, expressing gratitude for the continued support and commitment to industrialization, job creation, and empowerment initiatives for women and youth.

“None of this would be possible without the bold leadership of His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (CON), whose industrialization drive continues to position Kwara as a rising force in Nigeria’s economy,” she stated.

The Factory has successfully generated thousands of direct and indirect job opportunities. Significant milestones include:

Hosting Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu (OON) in January, who endorsed its mission and awarded ₦20,000 stipends to several workers to support their efforts.

Other key projects included producing apparel for the Renewed Hope Initiative Agricultural Programme and custom souvenir items for the First Lady of Kwara State, as well as providing branded merchandise to the Kwara State Residents Registration Agency (KWASRRA).

The Managing Director also stated that the factory delivered uniforms to TASCON, Ilorin, and produced over 25,000 tote bags, demonstrating its large-scale production capacity. Additionally, it gained media exposure through a feature on Kwara TV, adding that it expanded its reach by producing branded polo shirts for the KWARA LEARN initiative and custom Aso-Oke souvenir bags for the Nigerian Air Force, showcased at the upcoming African Armed Forces event.

In her remarks, Hajia Adedeji affirmed, “The Kwara Garment Factory has become a shining example of Governor AbdulRazaq’s commitment to industrialization, job creation, and inclusive growth.” She is optimistic about the future, emphasizing the Factory’s aim to broaden its impact, empower more Kwarans, and become a continental leader in garment manufacturing.

“As we look ahead, we remain dedicated to building a stronger, more prosperous Kwara,” she concluded.
