Kwara First Movement congratulates Tinubu’s ADC on promotion to Colonel
The Kwara First Movement (KFM) has extended its congratulations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Aide-De-Camp (ADC), Nurudeen Alowonle Yusuf, on his promotion to the rank of Colonel in the Nigerian Army.
In a press statement obtained by The Informant247, the KFM Convener, Comrade Yinka Dallas, described Colonel Yusuf’s promotion as a proud moment for Kwara State and a testament to his dedication, professionalism, and excellence in service.
“We are immensely proud of Colonel Yusuf for this remarkable achievement. It is not only a personal milestone for him but also a source of pride for the entire Kwara State. His journey exemplifies the spirit of commitment and honour that the Nigerian Army stands for,” Dallas stated.
President Tinubu officially decorated Colonel Yusuf with his new rank on Thursday during a ceremony at the State House in Abuja.
The event was graced by notable dignitaries, including Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, and Mrs. Yusuf, the ADC’s wife.
Colonel Yusuf, who hails from Kwara State, also holds the title of traditional ruler-designate (Elemona of Ilemona) in Oyun Local Government Area.
He has been serving as the President’s ADC since Tinubu assumed office in 2023.
Comrade Dallas noted that Yusuf’s promotion reflects his outstanding service and dedication to the nation, urging young Kwarans to draw inspiration from his achievements.
“This is a reminder that with hard work and perseverance, great heights can be attained. Colonel Yusuf has proven himself not only as a distinguished military officer but also as a leader with deep roots in his community,” Dallas added.
The Kwara First Movement further expressed optimism that Colonel Yusuf’s new rank would enhance his capacity to serve the nation and contribute positively to the development of Kwara State.
