Kwara Falcons grab first win in Abidjan invitational tournament

Nigeria’s Kwara Falcons have secured their first win in the ongoing invitational tournament currently going on in Abidjan after suffering defeats in their first two games. 

The tournament was organised to gear up the invited teams that will participate in the forthcoming 2023 African Basketball League.

Nigeria champions lost their opening game to Stade De Malien, 69-84 and wer also defeated in second game by ABC Fighters 52-76.

They bounced back and recorded their first win in the tournament with a 52-49 win over Kadji Sports Academy.

Coach Baba Jubril hopes to use the tournament as a learning curve ahead of the third edition of Basketball Africa League (BAL) Season 3 tipping off by March 11 – 21, 2023.
