Eniola displayed a classical performance to clinch the gold medal at the SL3 female single finals of the 4th edition of Dr. Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu National Para-Badminton Championship.

Current world number 8 in the Para-badminton ranking, Eniola defeated Oriemezia from Imo State, 21-7, 21-2 (2-0) in the final game played at the international conference center, Umuaiha in Abia State on Thursday to grab the ultimate prize.

“I am very happy because my mission has been accomplished,” an excited Bolaji told Informant247.

While thanking the Kwara State Sports Commission for their support, she called on philanthropists and people with the financial wherewithal to support her dream.

“I really need some me to Spain now for another International tournament holding from March 8-16,” she said.

Eniola Bolaji became the first African to reach the final of a major para-badminton international championship and win gold last year in Spain.
