Kwara begins distribution of KWASRRA security ID cards to all civil servants

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has approved the distribution of the newly innovated State Security Identification Cards (SSID Cards).

The Acting General Manager, Kwara State Residents Registration Agency (KWASRRA), Mr Tajudeen Jimoh, who disclosed this in his office on Saturday, January 11, in Ilorin, the state capital, said the Residents Registration Exercise, which was flagged off in the State by the Executive Governor of the State on the 29th of July, 2024, has started yielding the desired results.

He said, “The Agency is pleased to inform the good people of Kwara State that it has started taking delivery of the SSID Cards, and the Governor has directed the immediate distribution of the cards to their owners.”

“The distribution, which is going to be in batches and free of charge, would run concurrently alongside the continuous registration of other categories of Kwara State residents as earlier scheduled.”

The general manager, while emphasising that the delivery of the cards is a testament to the state government’s commitment to ensuring adequate planning, economic development, and social inclusion, enjoined all civil servants whose cards are ready for pickup to approach their various MDAs from Monday, 13th January 2025 with any valid form of identification such as the Staff ID card, National ID Card, Voter’s Card, International Passport, and Driver’s License. They are also to note that collection by proxy will not be entertained.

Mr Jimoh further enjoined all SUBEB and TESCOM staff in the sixteen Local Government Areas to go to their various offices to pick up their cards as from Monday.
