Kwara Assembly swears in new APC member, Rufai

The Kwara State House of Assembly on Tuesday swore in Hon. Adam Rufai to represent Patigi State Constituency in the House following his victory at the bye- election conducted on August 14 to produce a replacement for the deceased Lawmaker, Hon. Ahmed Rufai.

Rufai, a candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was declared as winner of the by-election having scored 10,354 votes, the highest in the election.

The House majority leader, Hon Magaji Olawoyin said the inauguration followed the declaration of Rufai as the winner of the Patigi bye-election by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
