Kidnapped Benue Commissioner, Ekpe Ogbu, regains freedom

The Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development in Benue State, Mr Ekpe Ogbu, who was abducted on Sunday, has regained his freedom.

This was confirmed by the Commissioner of Police, in Benue State, CP Wale Abass.

The Informant247 recalls that the commissioner alongside his driver and 2 other persons became victims of kidnap, at Adankari Junction along the Otukpo-Ado road around 9pm, Sunday.

Report has it that the Hilux van was seen and recovered the next day by the police in Otukpo.

The circumstances surrounding his release from captivity have not been disclosed, as at the time of filing this report.

The CP has just revealed that the kidnapped commissioner regained his freedom one hour ago.
