KFA concludes Ramat Cup preparation

The Kwara Football Academy U16 team has concluded preparation to take part in the 39th edition of the Muritala Ramat YSFON U16 International Cup in Kano.

The team rounded up the final phase of preparation yesterday with a 3-0 bashing of Champions Football Academy at the Main Bowl of the Kwara State Stadium Ilorin.

The team commenced preparation in early January and played a total of six tune-up matches winning all the matches and scoring twenty-one goals in the process.

The Kwara Football Academy has gallantly won the last two editions of the tournament and the team is poised to win the age-long Youth Tourney for keep.

The Administrator of the Academy Mal. Ibrahim Bako has assured Kwarans that the team will not disappoint at the biggest youth football tournament in Nigeria.

He stated this while receiving the officials of Excel All-Stars in his office. The group paid a courtesy visit and show of solidarity with the team. Mal. Bako stated that the team has been slugging it out in the last four weeks preparing for the tournament and everything is set for the team to do well in Kano.

Responding on behalf of the Visiting Excel All-star team, Mr. Lukman Shehu thanked the Administrator of the Academy for accommodating the All-Stars over the years to train at the Academy and announced the donation of a set of Match Jersey for the KFA U16 team taking part at the Ramat Cup.

Presenting the Set of Jersey, Mr. Shehu in the company of the All-Stars Captain Mr. Tajudeen Owolewa and Mr. Shogo Shodunke stated that the group is ready to support the Academy in its future programmes, noting that the group is made up of professionals who are willing to offer professional services as cooperate support services to the Academy.

In the same vein, the Special Adviser to the Kwara State Governor Mal. Ibrahim Attahiru also donated a set of Jersey to the KFA U16 team as they prepare for the Ramat Cup. The donation is aimed to support and boost the morale of the team.

The 39th edition of the Ramat Cup will kick off in the ancient city of Kano this weekend, with Kwara Football Academy aiming to defend the title they won last year.
