Kano Senator announces defection from NNPP to APC

Senator representing Kano South, Senator Suleiman Summaila Kawu, has officially announced his defection from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), in the Senate.

Senator Kawu’s defection announcement on Wednesday was a sequel to the reading of the letter he wrote to that effect to the President of the Senate

According to the letter raad by the Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Senator Kawu cited divisions in NNPP which he said have led to a series of litigations in court against the party, as a reason for his defection.
