Kano Gov., Abba Kabir appoints Ganduje’s Ex-Chief Of Staff, 18 others as commissioners
The Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved the appointment of 19 commissioners and members of the Executive Council, following the approval of the state House of Assembly.
Among them are Hon. Ali Haruna Makoda, former Chief of Staff to ex-Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, and Hon. Nasiru Sule Garo, elder brother of Murtala Garo, deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 elections.
The governor submitted a total of 19 names to the assembly for screening.
Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore, the Speaker of the assembly, reeled out the names while reading the letter at Tuesday’s plenary.
The nominees were summoned to appear before the house on Wednesday for screening, after reading a motion about them by the Majority leader of the house, Lawal Hussaini Chediyar Yangurasa (Dala), which was seconded by Hon. Tukun Muhammad (Fagge).
The letter read in part, “In accordance with power conferred on me by the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria, I wish to formally forward the list below to appoint commissioners for approval by the Kano State House of Assembly. The list below
Full list of nominees sent to the Kano State House of Assembly for the position of commissioners by Gov. Abba K Yusuf.”
The nominees include; Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam, Hon. Umar Doguwa, Hon. Ali Haruna Makoda, Hon. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf, Hon. Danjuma Mahmoud, Hon. Musa Shanono, Hon. Abbas Sani Abbas, Haj. Aisha Saji, Haj. Ladidi Garko, Dr. Marwan Ahmad.
Others are; Engr. Muhd Diggol, Hon. Adamu Aliyu Kibiya, Dr. Yusuf Kofar Mata, Hon. Hamza Safiyanu, Hon. Tajo Usman Zaura, Sheikh Tijjani Auwal, Hon. Nasiru Sule Garo, Hon. Haruna Isa Dederi, Hon. Baba Halilu Dantiye.
