Just In: INEC files six-count charge against suspended Adamawa REC Ari
A six-count charge has been filed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) against the suspended resident electoral commissioner in Adamawa state, Hudu Yunusa-Ari.
It was gathered that the charges were filed at the high court in Yola, the state capital.
The INEC, in a statement on Thursday, said the charges were filed after reviewing the case file emanated from the police which established a prima facie case against the ousted Adamawa REC, Yunusa-Ari.
The Informant247 recalls Yunusa-Ari was arrested by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) over his conduct during the governorship election in Adamawa and was subsequently granted administrative bail and asked to report to the headquarters of the NPF every weekday.
