I’ve enough evidence to back up my sexual harassment allegations – Natasha replies Akpabio’s wife
The crisis between Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the senator representing Kogi Central Senator, on Saturday took a new twist when Natasha declared that she has “concrete evidence” to substantiate her sexual harassment allegations against the Senate President.
Natasha Akpoti was reacting to Akpabio’s wife’s remarks, who accused her of creating content for her personal gains, stressing that the lawmaker was lying against her husband.
In her reaction, Natasha called on Akpabio’s wife, Unoma, to distance herself from the sexual allegations controversy involving the Senate president.
The crisis between Akpoti-Uduaghan and Akpabio started when she refused a reassigned sitting arrangement on the floor of the Senate.
The matter took another twist on Friday when she reeled out details of how Akpabio victimised her for refusing his sexual advances, saying the Senate President refused to take her motions, maligned, and intimidated her for refusing his sexual overtures.
However, in a legal letter dated March 1, 2025, addressed to Unoma through her lawyer, Victor Giwa, the Kogi Central Senator charged her to stay off the matter for her sanity.
The letter was titled “Stay Away from Sen. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s Sexual Harassment and Intimidation Allegation Against Sen. President Godswill Akpabio; To Safeguard Your Sanity and That of Your Family.”
She insisted that the allegations were directed only at Akpabio and that he should be the one to defend himself.
The letter said: “Our client has concrete evidence to substantiate her allegations. We suggest that you leave the defence of these allegations to the Senate President to maintain your sanity and that of your family.”
Meanwhile, Unoma has sued Natasha for defamation and fundamental rights infringement at the Federal Capital Territory High Court.
She is demanding N350 billion from Natasha as damages.
