INEC National Collation Centre announces break till 6pm over absence of results from states

The National Collation Centre of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared a break till 6pm on Sunday, February 26, 2023.

The Informant247 recalls that the collation centre opened around 1pm on Sunday, which was against the planned 1pm earlier announced by Chairman of the electoral body, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, on Saturday.

The Chief Returning Officer of the Federation, Prof. Yakubu, announced the break following the absence of presidential election results from 36 States of the Federation including the Federal Capital Territory (Abuja).

He said some results were expected to have arrived the collation centre by 6pm for formal announcement.
