Include pedestrian bridge in your capital projects, Kwara Assembly urges AbdulRazaq
The Kwara State House of Assembly, on Thursday, urged the state governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to consider the inclusion of pedestrian overhead cross-over in the capital projects.
The resolution of the Assembly was hinged on a motion sponsored by Hon. Abdulkareem B. Paku.
According to Abdulkareem, he said pedestrians who are equally tax payers, with the right to use of roads and highways like the motorists needs to beg and plead with other road users [car owners and okada riders] before they can cross the road.
He opined that the provision of pedestrian cross-over (bridge) will not only improve the level of safety of pedestrians in the city of Ilorin but will also restore their human dignity.
