Impact: KWASSIP GM, Tejidini tops YRP’s integrity test, bags public office holder of the year
The Youth Restoration Project (YRP) has named Dr. Tejidini Abdulwasiu Olayinka, the Acting General Manager of the Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP), as the Kwara Public Office Holder of the Year 2024 (Youth Category).
The announcement was made in a communiqué issued after YRP’s Annual General Meeting held at the O2 Arena, Starwood Hotel, Ilorin, Kwara State.
The communiqué was signed by the group’s National Convener, Comrade Yinka Dallas Ayeni.
During the meeting, the group discussed youth involvement in governance, highlighting Kwara State as a leader in empowering young people by appointing them to key positions.
Among those celebrated was Dr. Tejidini, recognised for his significant contributions and for making Kwara’s youth proud.
Prince Adetola Adewumi, the Coordinator of YRP’s Kwara Chapter, formally nominated Dr. Tejidini for the award, citing his transparency and dedication in carrying out his duties.
The nomination was seconded by YRP’s Secretary, Miss Jemilat Saadu, and later endorsed by the National Convener, Comrade Yinka Dallas Ayeni.
“Dr. Tejidini has passed all our integrity tests,” Comrade Dallas stated, adding that the assembly unanimously approved the nomination.
He further congratulated the people of Kwara, including artisans, youths, students, and market traders, for having a vibrant youth leader committed to human capital development in such a critical role.
“We also commend the Governor for recognising talent and appointing a man of integrity and capacity like Dr. Tejidini as the Acting General Manager of KWASSIP,” he added.
