Ilorin South council takes N140m as Security Vote in 2025

…chairman’s office gulps N391m; N92.5m spent on local, int’l travels

The Ilorin South Local Government Area expended a total of N140 million on security vote and related operations between January and December 2025, documents have shown.

The expenditure was contained in data obtained from the 2026 Local Government budget.

Further analysis of the budget revealed that the Office of the Local Government Chairman, which covers the offices of the Vice Chairman and the Internal Auditor, accounted for N391,133,669.66 in spending.

The document also indicated that N92,521,471.63 was spent on local and international travels within the period under review.
