Ice Prince to remain in Ikoyi Correctional Centre
Hip-hop recording artist Ice Prince Zamani has been ordered to be detained at the Ikoyi Correctional Center after reportedly attacking a police officer by a magistrate court in Lagos’ Ajah neighborhood.
The Lagos State Police Command on Friday presented the “Oleku” singer before the court on three counts of assault, impeding a policeman from performing his official duty, and abduction.
When the counts were read to him, the defendant pleaded not guilty.
He was subsequently granted bail in the amount of N500,000 by Magistrate Taiwo Oyaniyi. He must also provide the court with two trustworthy sureties.
The magistrate mandated his remand and adjourned the case’s proceedings until September 7 in anticipation of his compliance with the bail requirements.
