The Nollywood actress Opeyemi Aiyeola has cancelled planned charity events over the stampede incident in Ibadan that landed ex-Ooni wife queen Naomi Silekunola and the popular broadcaster Alhaji Hamzat Oriyomi in prison.
Aiyeola, while citing concerns over potential risks and consequences following the tragic incident that claimed 35 lives, said she would no longer proceed with the planned charity.

During a live chat with fans, Opeyemi expressed her fears about organising public giveaways that might lead to legal trouble, pledging to focus on supporting her family members in need to avoid such risks.
The actress also advised other Nigerians to learn from the unfortunate incident involving Oriyomi and Naomi, urging caution when undertaking charitable initiatives.
“I am no longer doing giveaways. I am done. I have family members that need help. I will do my giveaway with them. If helping people will land someone in prison, I am out. People should learn from the case of Alhaji Hamzat Oriyomi and The Queen Naomi”, she said.
