I don’t care about you, “broke boys” – Wizkid blasts Nigerian rappers again
The popular Nigerian music star, Ayo Balogun professionally known as Wizkid, has once again lambasted rappers, referring to them as ” broke boys”.
The Grammy award winner has referred to Nigerian rappers as broke boys, whom he care less about.
The Informant247 earlier reported that Wizkid has said that he does not listen to rap songs any longer because it is “dead and boring”.
While granting an interview with a foreign magazine in London, the music icon said: “Afrobeats is the new pop. I sold two million copies in America off of one song! Even some American artists don’t have a diamond record. If I’m being honest, I don’t listen to any other genre of music anymore.
”I don’t listen to rap – that shit is boring to me. It’s dead now, it’s tired. These guys do the same shit, rap on the same beats and the same flows.”
Wizkid’s claim has generated controversy in the music industry as many Nigerian rappers have reacted to the statement.
Blaqbonez, MI Abaga, Ladipoe, Oladips and some others have reacted to the claim.
Wizkid has taken to his Snapchat to call them broke boys whom he does not care about.
According to the Essence crooner:
