HoA poll: Rukayat Shittu appreciates Owode/Onire constituents
Rukayat Shittu, the Kwara State House of Assembly Candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), representing Owode/Onire state constituency, has appreciated the people for coming out en mass to vote for her at the just concluded 2023 general elections.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), declared Rukayat Motunrayo Shittu the winner, after she polled 7521 to defeat PDP Abdullah Magaji who got 6957 votes and other candidates, in a free, fair and credible poll.
While showing her gratitude to the people of Owode/Onire state constituency, Rukayat Shittu posted a pictorial illustration with a caption “Thank you“ via her Facebook page on Sunday, immediately after the INEC officially announced her as the winner.
However, there has been wild jubilation and shower of encomium across places like Alapa, and other areas in Asa local government, as seen in a viral video.
