Hijrah organization urges honest distribution of FGN palliatives
The National Headquarters of the Hijrah Organization of Nigeria, situated in Ilorin, has issued a compelling call to the committee responsible for distributing Federal Government palliatives.
The organization, led by Professor Badmas Olanrewaju Yusuf, emphasized the importance of transparency and honesty in carrying out the distribution tasks.
They urged the committee members not to be swayed by intimidation or favoritism, ensuring that the palliatives reach those truly in need across the country.
This appeal was made during the organization’s monthly meeting held at its secretariat in Ilorin. In addition to addressing palliative distribution, the organization took the opportunity to extend congratulations to the recently appointed Muslim Ministers and Commissioners.
They urged these individuals to uphold the values of Islam and their respective states as they assume their roles.
The organization emphasized that as representatives of Islam, these officials are expected to exhibit good behavior, discharge their duties with integrity, and always uphold the principles of their faith.
They encouraged the Muslim leaders to be exemplary ambassadors of Islam and the regions they represent.
Turning their attention to the Niger coup d’etat, the organization lauded President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his commitment to promoting peace.
Acknowledging his role as the Chairman of ECOWAS, they praised his efforts in addressing the crises within the region.
This approach, they noted, allows the President to effectively address internal challenges faced by the country, fulfilling the promises made during the pre-election campaign.
The organization also commended the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the State Traditional Council, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari (CFR), along with the State Government led by Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq (CON), who also chairs the Nigerian Governor’s Forum.
Their dedication to maintaining harmony and stability within the state was recognized and appreciated by the Hijrah Organization.
