Hafsoh: Abdulrahman Bello, 4 others moved back to Oke-Kura Custodial Centre as DSS concludes investigation

The prime murderer of Hafsoh Lawal, the final-year student of the Kwara State College of Education, AbdulRahman Bello, alongside his alleged accomplices on Tuesday, arraigned before the Kwara State High Court following the resumption of their trial.

It was gathered that Bello, alongside Ahmed Abdulwasiu (41), of Zone C, No. 47 Adualere Area, Ilorin; Suleiman Muyideen (28), of Neolife Business, No. 7 Adualere Area, Amilere Milengbe, Ilorin; Jamiu Uthman (29), a phone repairer from Adualere Area, Ilorin; Abdulrahmon Jamiu (31), a farmer from Elemere Village via Malete Town, Moro LGA, Kwara State were brought to the court in a white Toyota Hilux bus by heavily armed operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).

The case is now being prosecuted by the Kwara State Government, with the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Senior Sulyman, leading the legal team.

During the proceedings, it was disclosed that the DSS has concluded its investigation into the case. As a result, the court directed that the suspects be transferred from DSS custody to the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS) facility at Oke-Kura.

Justice Hannah Ajayi, who presided over the session, adjourned the case to Wednesday, May 7, 2025, for further hearing.
