Govt commends Nigerians in diaspora for renovating primary health centre in Kwara community
The Kwara State Government, on Friday, commended the initiative of the Nigerians in the Diaspora in renovating Egbejila Primary Health Care Centre (PHC) in Ilorin.
Dr. Amina Ahmed El-lmam, the state Commissioner for Health, made the commendation while commissioning the newly renovated primary health care centre at Egbejila Community.
The Commissioner reiterated the efforts of the Kwara State Government in the extensive renovation of health care centres across the state.
“Just recently, the State Government commissioned the Alapa PHC, Ago Oja PHC, and Magajingari PHC, among others,” she noted.
She expressed the State Government’s delight in receiving support from concerned Nigerians who have contributed to enhancing the quality of healthcare services in the state.
In his remarks, the Executive President of Nurses Across the Borders International, Pastor Petter Omoragbon, thanked the State Government for its support in ensuring the project’s timely completion and promised more development projects in the state.
Also speaking at the event, the Chairman of the community, Alhaji Mohammed Alade, thanked the State Government for the regular medical outreaches at the centre and the provision of dedicated health workers at Egbejila PHC, which has brought relief to the community.
