Gov AbulRazaq, Saliu Mustapha mourn Unilorin student killed in auto crash

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman Abdulrasaq, has extended his heartfelt condolences to the management, staff and students of Unilorin over a tragic accident on campus that claimed the life of a student and injured four others.

The governor, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, on Thursday, expressed sadness over the incident.

The statement said, “Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is saddened by the news of a motor accident at the University of Ilorin this afternoon, in which a student has been confirmed dead, while a few others were injured.

“The Governor commiserates with the entire university community and the family of the deceased on this very sad development.

“The Governor wishes the injured students quick recoveries and prays that God gives the family, friends, and classmates of the dead student the strength to bear the huge loss.”

In the same vein, the Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, Saliu Mustapha, described the incident as ‘heartbreaking’, praying that God grant the deceased family the fortitude to bear the loss.

His condolence message was contained in a statement signed by his Media Assistant, Nasif Sholagberu, on Thursday.

Senator Mustapha, who expressed deep pain at this devastating event, extended his heartfelt condolences to the parents and family of the deceased student.

He wished the injured students a full and speedy recovery.

He enjoined the UNILORIN community to come together in support of one another during this difficult period.
