Gov AbdulRazaq’s aide resigns, declares for Kwara Assembly
Ahead of the forthcoming 2023 general election, the former Special Assistant to the Governor on Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Mohammed Abubakar Mohammed, has declared his intention to run as a lawmaker to represent Edu state constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly.
The Solid Minerals expert also announced resignation from his current position, saying it was in view of his political ambition.
Speaking at the declaration of intent in a meeting with the APC Executives at Ward 3 in Tsaragi on Friday, Mohammed promised to deliver the best of representation which will bear positive impact on the community.
“I have come to declare openly to the ward excos that I am vying and contesting to represent the good people of Edu local government at the Kwara State House of Assembly comes 2023 Elections,” he said.
“You can see the joy and warm reception they have accorded me, the support and the prayers they gave me was not because of anything but for the love, Harmony and Peace we have for each other and the Society- so I thank them very sincerely,” he added.
While appreciating all the Stakeholders for their support, he expressed the need for the youths to raise and challenge the status quo, saying they must leave their comfort zone in order to get Power.
In his own remarks, the APC Chairman in Ward 3 of Tsaragi, Adamu Usman commended Dr. Mohammed for his efforts and assured him of the total support of the Party.
Earlier, a special Prayer, organised by the family has held with the purpose of seeking divine guidance and success for Dr. Mohammed aspiration as the Election gather steam.
Mohammed, while meeting with the Coordinators of his Campaign team across 10 wards in the Edu Local Government, enjoined them to have unity of purpose in a bid to achieve success.
He furthered that the meeting with his party executives at his own ward was one of the many engagements laid down to achieve success in the next Election.
