Ganduje storms Shekarau’s house to stop him from decamping

Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has paid the senator representing Kano central senatorial district, Ibrahim Shekarau, a sudden visit.

It was gathered that the former governor, Shekarau, was making plans to announce his defection to the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) on Saturday.

Recall that there’s been crisis within the Kano chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the crisis can be said to have reached the tipping point.

While the outcome of the meeting has not been revealed, there have been speculations that Governor Ganduje had visited to forestall Shekarau’s plans of decamping to the NNPP, which is led by another former governor of the state, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
