Flying Eagles intensify training in Morroco ahead of AFCON showdown

Nigeria U-20 National Team also known as Flying Eagles have begun a week camping in Casablanca, Morocco ahead of the U-20 AFCON Egypt scheduled to commence February 19.

Coach Ladan Bosso’s team touched down Casablanca on Friday and had their first and second training sessions at 6pm on Friday evening and 9am Saturday morning respectively.

The sessions held at Complexe Sportif, Sidi Mohammed, Ain Sebaa, Casablanca.

Ahead of the campaign, the team will face Central African Republic (CAR) on Sunday (tomorrow) and Congo on Wednesday in international friendly games.

The team will also reportedly face Benin Republic and Sudan before leaving for Egypt.

The biennial age-grade continental showpiece will kick-off on 19 February 2023 with the opening match between hosts Egypt and Southern African side, Mozambique at Cairo International Stadium at 16h00 local time (14h00 GMT).

Expectedly, the competition will also double as the African qualifiers for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup billed to hold in Indonesia.
