Flying Eagles arrive in Nigeria from Argentina
Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have arrived in the country following their participation at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina.
The players and the officials of the team flew into Abuja on Thursday afternoon aboard Ethiopian Airlines.
Recall that the team lost to Korea republic 1 nil in the quarterfinal match played on Sunday at the Estadio Único Madre de Ciudades in Santiago del Estero.
Choi Seok-Hyun headed home a Lee-Seung-Won corner-kick in the 6th minutes of the extra time to sent Coach Ladan Bosso led side packing.
The Flying Eagles have made it to the final of the U-20 World Cup twice in the past and has finished second on two occasions , first in 1989 and most recently in 2005
