FIRS initiates self-service stations in tax offices
The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has implemented “Self-Service Stations” at its offices around the country.
Taxpayers will be able to use the stations to submit tax returns, pay taxes, apply for and validate tax clearing certificates, and perform other activities on their own.
This was stated in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja by Mr Johannes Wojuola, the Special Assistant to the Executive Chairman of the FIRS on Media and Communications.
It stated that the programme was designed to assist taxpayers in making the best use of the TaxPro Max Solution.
According to the statement, the Self-Service Stations have designated officers who are immediately accessible to help taxpayers with any technological difficulties or problems that may occur.
The FIRS urged taxpayers to use the stations to complete their tax obligations.
