FG constructs 150 boreholes in Adamawa

The Federal Government has said that it has drilled 150 motorised boreholes to ease access to drinkable water in Adamawa.

The Controller of Housing, Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, Alhaji Aminu Sambo,  disclosed this to newsmen in Yola on Thursday.

He revealed that the government made provision for motorised boreholes packaged with over-head tanks and released points in communities in the twenty-one, 21 local government areas of Adamawa state, as solut on to water shortages.

He also revealed that the project had been implemented under a special programme masterminded by the Buhari-led federal government with the aim of improving supply of water and ease access to drinkable or consumable water.

He added that the project targeted communities in the rural areas to facilitate the stress and hardship rural dwellers passed through in accessing drinkable water.

He said the federal government has also built 100 housing units and made an installation of 780 units of streetlights working on solar power in some selected areas of the state.
