FG allocates N7bn for solar energy in State House, N2.5bn for vehicles in proposed 2026 budget

The federal government has budgeted N7 billion for the installation of solar energy systems at the state house, as contained in proposed 2026 appropriation bill, while also allocated N2.5 billion for the purchase of “operational vehicles”, and another N768,928,886 for the “replacement” of SUVs.

The Informant247 reports that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had in December, 2025, presented the N58.18 trillion 2026 federal budget to the national assembly.

Meanwhile, on December 23, 2025, the senate passed the 2026 appropriation bill for second reading.

In the proposed budget, the federal government also earmarked N283.85 billion for the presidential air fleet logistics and management, including the operation of the national forest guard.

A presidential air fleet is a collection of aircraft for official use by a country’s president, heads of state, and high-ranking officials.

In the 2023 supplementary budget, the federal government had earmarked N12.7 billion for the presidential air fleet.
