Femi Adebayo, Layi Wasabi shine as winners emerge at 2024 AMVCA [FULL LIST]
The African Magic Viewers Choice Awards celebrated its 10th edition, making it a decade of awarding excellence in African cinema and television
However, the ceremony, which kicked off on Friday with a vibrant Cultural Day celebration, saw the winners already climbing up the stage at Eko Hotel, Lagos, to snag their trophies.
This year the strong contenders include ‘Over the Bridge’ which has 12 nominations including Best Movie, Best Director, and Best Lead Actress, and the black-and-white fantasy thriller film, Mami Wata, which snagged 11 nominations.
Other contenders are Breath of Life and Jagun Jagun – The Warrior which snagged 10 nominations each.
